Dear YouCoach Director, I would like to take a moment to thank you for pairing me with my Coach, Casey Schwarz. It has been eight months since I joined YouFit and, in that time, I have lost 70 pounds. More important than that, I feel wonderful. I know that I never would have been so successful without the guidance that Casey provides. He is diligent about developing programs for me that keep me both interested and safe. I am, as you know, 68 years old and when I joined this past June, I was far from physically fit. Let me say that when I met with my family physician and Rheumatologist last month they were both very pleased with the changes in me. Recently, I had a flair up with discomfort in my right knee. This pain was not due to any injury, that's just what arthritis does some times. On Monday, when I met with Casey, I advised him that my knee had been tender for a couple of days. Without any hesitation on his part, he dropped the program that we would have normally worked on that day and he said "let's see if we can figure out if you have some muscle tension around that knee that may be aggravating it". We worked on stretches and it was amazing how much better my knee felt by the time I left. By the next day the pain was gone. I am sure you know what an asset Casey is to your team, but I just wanted to let you know that I greatly appreciate how conscientious and professional he has always been with me. Thanks again

I have been working with my trainer James and am so excited and impressed with the progress I have made since September. I have lost almost 20 pounds and feel great! I broke my ankle and injured my back in January so James really helped me by creating a personalized plan that allowed me to become stronger without injury. He is very knowledgeable about fitness and is always able to answer my questions and fully explains everything to me. We work closely together on a nutrition plan thay is extremely helpful. He is always on time and even sends reminder text messages about our next training session. I would highly recommend James to anyone who wants to make changes to feel better and grow stronger!

I joined YouFit about 2 years ago. I'm probably like a lot of gym members, I would go for a month or two and not see the results I wanted. It was not until I hired a personal trainer (completely out of character for me!) that I started seeing the results I wanted. In my younger years (I'm a 53 yr old woman) results came easier. I was still using the machines and exercises I knew but as you age your body and metabolism changes and what once worked no longer did. My personal trainer customized a program for me that hit all my target areas and he even gave me nutrition tips. I'm down 7 pounds and quite a few inches but most importantly I feel great! Since I have a customized program, going to the gym is no longer something to be dreaded but something I really enjoy. The YouFit staff is very friendly and helpful and the gym is always clean. I highly recommend YouFit!

One of the major reasons that caused me to join YouFit was cleanliness. The gym is cleaned frequently, a necessity for me. I had a double lung transplant on December 4, 2012. This means that I have my immune suppressed to the point of non-existence. I can catch almost any infection and it can kill me; I have no defense. I am also on a medley of drugs that I am required to take every day and will do so for the rest of my life. One of the requirements imposed on me by may medical professionals is that I join and attend a gym; if I do not do this, the side effects of some of my drugs will cause my bones to weaken and I will no longer be able to walk. I need a gym and it must be clean. I had attended YouFit for several years, but I had no real training or knowledge about how to properly use a gym and its equipment. I had made progress in fitness, but not as much as I had hoped. I was very run down when I first joined in February of 2013 and needed to get better. In September 2017 I was introduced to the personal trainer program and offered a chance to try it. I have been participating in it since then. It has made a huge difference in my physical ability and in my frame of mind. My trainer is Shane Hunt. He is polite, knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely helpful. At first he was somewhat cautious with me since I have medical problems, but I assured him that I would not break and he has since become a major asset in my health improvement. I am finding that bettering my strength and endurance also improves my resistance to infections. My overall health has improved markedly and my mental outlook has kept pace with it. Overall, I only wish I had started this program sooner. I intend to continue it.
