Introduction: The Tampa Flute Studio is the premiere studio for flute and piano lessons in the Tampa Bay Area. Our teaching philosophy is to provide a well rounded music education of the highest quality, with a strong emphasis on the enjoyment of playing and sharing music with others. We promote healthy self esteem, positivity, and hard work through our programs. We accept students of all ages and levels. Our instructor, Taylor Irelan, is an internationally known professional flutist. Study with a pro! My favorite part of teaching is seeing students achieve small goals. It may be getting the right fingering, or finally getting out a low/high note, or playing all of their scales perfectly for the first time. Seeing their face light up because they know they achieved something is the greatest reward.

Taylor is an amazing flute teacher & player! He is extremely educated & well versed in his craft. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking to expand their musical skills!

Taylor is a great guy who is good at teaching the piano. I rarely feel frustrated when working with him, as his patience is infectious. He is also very flexible on scheduling. Within the first month, I have already learned how to read notes, play several shorter songs, and overall feel much more comfortable when sitting at the piano.

My fees are a flat rate per month and include weekly lessons, recitals, group classes, many supplemental materials, instrument tune ups, and much more!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters in Music Performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and a Bachelors in Music Performance from the University or North Florida. I have been teaching private lessons for over 13 years.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Aspiring musicians from ages 5-105, beginners through advanced!
