Introduction: MyAdvisorSays is a personal college consulting agency, working directly with students of all ages and their families by helping them get into (and through!) college. It can be a daunting process but our staff will work with you every step of the way helping you navigate the admissions and college selection process. But it doesn’t stop there. We assist with everything from orientation to graduation and all the pieces in between including major selection, extracurricular activities, landing an internship, graduate school issues, and career counseling. We start with a comprehensive discussion with both the student (and parents) on goals. During this session we will also review test scores and high school or college academic transcripts. This meeting not only allows you to meet their Advisor but allows them to better understand your child’s and your family’s values, priorities, and preferences, as well as your child’s needs, strengths, and learning style. Each new client begins their session with a free initial consultation with me directly. We also offer both hourly consulting and packages to meet your needs. For career counseling, the process if very similar and begins with an initial consultation to asses needs and goals and develop an action plan that best fits the client and their needs. Hello! My name is Kasandrea and I am the founder of MyAdvisorSays, a college consulting agency located in Tampa Florida. After working as an academic advisor for years I have found that the system is broken and too many students are falling thru the cracks. Good advising is essential to college success and at many colleges across the country students are not receiving a high standard of care. So I decided to start my own company where students could have an advocate who worked for them, and has their best interests at heart. Students like me, who maybe didn't have parents or anyone to guide them through the process. There is so much to know, forms to file and choices to make that it can be very overwhelming. I know because I have been there. But with the right guidance, I promise you can do it too. Everyday I work with students; working thru the admissions process, choosing a college, picking a major, moving into dorms, setting up classes, and getting prepared for careers after college.
