- How did you get started doing this type of work?
"It's taken quite a while to get to this beautiful place. Life is a curious journey isnt it? With magical adventures + gifts. Along with those moments that stop you right in your tracks that make you question every aspect of your existence. As a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Breath Work Coach, Reiki Practitioner and Muscular Therapist, I am passionate about healing at the deepest level. The services that I offer encourage essential nourishment, deeply rooted rejuvenation, and lifelong shifts for your mind, body and soul. The STUDIO journal is your source for transformational wellness and spirit fortifying rituals. I created M.PARKE STUDIO five years ago, after my mother passed away from cancer. I was 25 years deep in my own intensive journey with Lyme Disease, and it was during a time where I was desperate for answers to my own health challenges, and then tragically, reasons for hers. I became a Massage Therapist + Reiki practitioner to understand, on a much deeper level, how the human body operates and the undeniable roll that energy plays. This led me to get certified in Holistic Nutrition, to fully appreciate that food is truly one of our most powerful + effective medicines. I have been continuing my training in Breath Work Therapy and Applied Kinesiology and look forward to starting my Herbalism studies in the Spring. Over these past years I have been chronicling my adventures of my own healing journey, furthering my education even more in the captivating world of alternative + holistic healing, and thoroughly exploring practices such as meditation, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, chakra healing, spirit strengthening, emotional freedom technique, bee venom therapy, yoga. The list goes on and on. And will for as long as I am here. Always Love. Melissa
