FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
CRIMINAL DEFENSE & DUI -- I usually work on a flat fee basis for criminal and DUI cases. My fees can vary based on the type of case and the specific facts, but it is always agreed upon in writing before I begin my representation. ACCIDENT/INJURY -- In injury and accident cases, I work on a contingency fee basis. This means that my fee comes out of any recovery I'm able to obtain and the client pays me nothing up front.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will typically speak with a potential client in person or over the phone to get more details about their situation and determine whether we can help them. This is a free consultation. If we think we can help and the potential client wants to retain our services, we would then enter into a representation agreement and begin working on their case.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my law degree from the University of Arizona in 1997 and was admitted to the bar in 1998. I am also admitted to practice in federal court and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. I worked as prosecutor for the government at both the federal and state levels, and received extensive training for both of those jobs. I have also worked in private practice as a criminal defense attorney since 2005 and I have tried well over 100 cases to a jury over the course of my career. I am certified by the State Bar of Arizona as a Criminal Law Specialist. I am active if several professional organizations relating to criminal defense and personal injury law.
