FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our fees are on a per session basis: Initial Consultation: $60 (1 hour) Training Session: $75 (1-1.5 hours) There are no extra charges for multiple dogs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every client must first schedule a consultation before formal training can occur. A trainer will visit your home, assess your dog(s), and situation. After the consult, the trainer will be able to provide you with a customized training or behavioral adjustment plan that is specific to your dog! Training is conducted on a per session basis as some issues may only take 2 sessions, while another issue could take 10. Some sessions may occur weekly, others may require more time in between. By using a session by session schedule, our customers get exactly what they need without being locked into anything!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I routinely attend seminars, conferences, and take professional development courses in order to keep expanding my knowledge base and learn new training techniques. I was initially certified through PetSmart, and then became a certified Blue Buffalo trainer. I actively participate in their Give Back program, which requires volunteering in local shelters to train rescues in order to help raise their adoption chances. My professional development courses have focused on socialization, aggression, fear, frustration behaviors, behavior modification, as well as obedience. I am also a member of the IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants)
