Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I offer more than 30 years of continuous instruction. Students lessons are on my full size Yamaha white grand piano located close to the large bay window in the front room. This gives an open and airy feel for the student rather than a closed in practice room as used by many/most commercial music studios. I give music theory using a full sized digital piano (with head set) located far away in the family room connected to a computer for computer-assisted music theory in a game format. Students just love it as they can score themselves to get faster each time. Additionally I make sure that each student receives a welcome personalized card when they sign on, each time they advance to a higher level, their birthday with a personalized card and four pack gourmet brownies...and Christmas cards. The cards/gifts are addressed to the student...they love getting something in the mail addressed solely to them. I enjoy seeing the students' eyes light up when they play a study piece well. It's gratifying to see their progress and I know I'm giving them an appreciation for piano music that will last them a life time.

If I was to summarize our experience with Ms. Mary Jo as my daughter's piano teacher, 3 words that come to mind-Passion, Expertise, Perfection. I have a lot of respect and admiration for the work of Mary Jo. She has high standards and is committed in tutoring piano at her home which is a very safe environment. My daughter has been going for past few years and at times I leave her there for an hour so she can have the lesson and practice while I run errands. Mary should charge more for her time. $20/half hour is extremely affordable given the quality you get. Those music places cannot come close to an experienced music guru you find in Mary Jo. Mary Jo is such a delight as a piano instructor. I had both my children take lessons from her and was so impressed with her patience and positive attitude that I signed up for lessons myself! As an adult learning piano, I found my weekly lessons became something I really looked forward to. Her teaching skills were put to the test with me! And she made it such an enjoyable pastime, I really liked practicing!

Mary Jo is an amazing person and teacher. She is a kind, patient, experienced and effective instructor who has the ability to teach your child how to play the piano and to read music.
