FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
What does a DJ actually do at an event? For those that arent familiar with professional DJs it may seem all they do is push a button and play music. While planning music is one of the core functions of the DJ, there is so much more that goes on. A professional DJ starts to prepare for an event well before the actual event date. In fact, it starts on the very first contact. One of the very first things we do when meeting with a client is figure out what exactly they are looking for. What type of music? lighting? Emcee requirements/ Additional AV? Social media? We then quote a price. Discovering the Clients Needs While the first phase of the discussions gives the DJ a glimpse into what you are looking for, once we get closer to your event date the details need to be fleshed out. Typically about 60 days out from your event we will guide you in completing a questionnaire that will guide us regarding key elements of your event. It is also around this time that we reach out to the venue for guidance on particulars. If we are not familiar with the location we will typically plan a trip to the site to iron out site-based issues, such as accessing power, placement of equipment, and access to site on the go day. Sometimes, More Planning Is Required So while some planning meetings can be done via email or text, a phone call is best to get answers to important questions. Head counts can force changes to the floor plans, musical selections might be altered to accommodate a group of people, you may decide to enhance your experience. We always reach out to our clients again 30 days out to see what may have changed. Its at this time that we would expect the client to finalize major details. Preparing For Your Event Usually the week prior we lock things in place. We review every detail. We want to make sure that your day is as stress free as possible! We arrange all your special songs in specific order utilizing our software. We make certain to have redundant backup systems to insure there are no glitches. And now that you know more about our process, if this sounds like the level of service you are looking for, dont hesitate to contact us with any questions. Wed be happy discuss your event plans
