FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not. I price by the job. I find that is best for both me and the customer. I have did a lot of business with customers that have hired a contractor by the hour and then say there was a lot of hours getting paid for and not a lot of work to show for those hours. I estimate the job. That is the total price whether it takes one day or one week you pay the price you pay for everything done on that estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we talk over the phone to set up a time to come out and give estimate on work they are wanting done. If they have questions while on the phone I will talk with them to better understand their need as well as make them feel more secure about the options they have. If an estimate is scheduled I will go out and look and get measurements and make a supply list of all materials the job will require. If the customer hasn't picked their own supplies yet and need help with that I will assist in that as well. I can help locate a variety of materials and give them different options to choose from. Then once all is figured out on customers end I will get the estimate worked up and we can go from there. Most estimates are given on the same evening I go to appointment, so there is not long wait period for the customer to worry what happened or if they are even going to get the estimate. The best part is all estimates are FREE...
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 15 years in the construction business. I started young and loved it and it has just stuck with me over the years. I have two years college and look forward to getting more someday.
