- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We routinely get questions regarding costs of staging. Each property is unique and we take into consideration the location, size, condition, and architectural features of the home when designing a staging plan. We can give a homeowner an "estimate" of the total cost based upon square footage of home and the rooms needing to be staged.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For HOME STAGING, we go to their home for a consultation. Pricing is then based upon the scope of work needed. Price considerations include: Furniture rental, accessory rental, and home repairs (if needed). For DESIGN SERVICES, a home consultation is a must prior to a quote. We consider the scope of work and length of time project will take to be completed. In most cases, we charge our design services by the hour.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to college to become a Registered Nurse. While taking time off to raise my family, I helped friends and family members by designing spaces for them when they remodeled their homes. I had done numerous kitchen and bath remodels which turned into decorating their homes as well. I have always loved interior design, so I took interior decorating courses and now own Simply Elegant Interiors.
