FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our standard pricing is $130 for home inspection and setting traps for rats, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and cats. We go in the attic or under your house looking for the animals and signs of their behavior. We also look at the exterior of the house to find all possible entry points. The tech will give you an estimate on repairs necessary to keep the animals out for good. Repairs for rats are done immediately to keep new ones from entering and any remaining are forced to look for food and a way out and will eventually run into the traps. Larger animals are trapped first and repairs are done after its been determined that all animals are gone. When we come back to pick up the caught animals, we charge $65 for each animal that we remove. Rat service calls are the same price, regardless of how many rats we catch. Live or Dead animal removal ranges between $100-$300 depending on the difficulty of the situation. If you call for a dead animal under the house and it takes 15 min to find it, its $100. If it requires the tech to cut out the floor to get an opossum out from under your bathtub, it will probably be closer to $300. We service customers that have their own traps also and other companies traps as well. We charge $65 for animal pickups. We give free estimates for Bee jobs and Pigeon jobs!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer calls or hires us on Thumbtack, we start by getting any information about the problem and the information about the customer such as address and best number to reach them. We forward this information to our trapper assigned to that job and he calls customer directly to schedule.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been an animal trapper for over 10 years and worked in construction as a carpenter framing houses and various other trades as well. Our trappers have a construction background as well as trapping experience. I've found this to be a great combination with doing repairs and being familiar with how homes are built.
