Introduction: We love introducing people to the world of Ballroom, Latin, and Swing dancing! And helping those with the basics to grow their skills for greater competency through refining their skills and technique. We offer group and private lessons in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Group classes typically are offered at The Vancouver Fitness Studio, Clark College Community Ed, and Longview's McClelland Center Parks & Recs. We also teach lessons at dances in North Portland and Vancouver. Joseph has been teaching ballroom dancing all his adult life and Julieann has for 12+ years. Our base for PRIVATE LESSONS are in VANCOUVER, WA 98662, just east of I205. Private lessons are a great way to begin learning the rules of dance etiquette, partner hold and movement, and steps in a variety of dances. Away from the distraction of people, music, and partner rotation of group classes, students are emboldened to focus on the fundamentals. And, in the private setting, we, as instructors, can discover quickly what changes are needed to guarantee your success on the dance floor! Our students tell us that our classes are the most fun and easily understood in the entire Portland/ Vancouver metro area. As a result, we enjoy deep satisfaction in knowing 1000s of people have grown in their skills in social dancing and are enjoying all of the benefits. Julieann is a wonderful dance instructor!! She has a great personality, is very patient with new dancers, and creates a fun learning environment. She listens to her customers and helps them translate a vision into reality. I initially signed up for lessons with the goal of learning a dance for my wedding, and now my fiance and I are learning more dance moves because we enjoy Julieann as a dance instructor so much!! Highly recommend!

Julieann is a wonderful dance instructor. My wife and I are absolute beginners, but wanted to learn something new for date nights. We are both so happy we chose Julieann. She provided us with an encouraging, judgement free space to start our dance journey. As well, she was able to provide us with the perfect one-on-one structure as novice dancers to gain confidence and have great fun while doing it.

My fiancé and I are dealing with Having to navigate our October wedding during this incredibly challenging and volatile time. This has provided us with a very positive outlet and is giving us the space to feel excited about sharing our first dance as husband and wife. We are so great full to be working with Julieann! She is helping us choreograph our first dance and teaching us a lot of basic stuff that we can easily use whenever we dance. We also have felt very safe working with her during the pandemic. We all wear masks and sanitize our hands before and after our private lessons. Would recommend for anyone getting married or for any couple interested in a healthy outlet together!

I wanted to improve my ballroom dancing, so I contacted Julieann for lessons. I knew the basics of several dances, but I wanted to improve my technique and skills and just get some focused practice. Julieann was the perfect choice! She has a syllabus of dance moves that she expertly teaches. Her lessons are a balance between teaching new skills and practicing the skills to music. Julieann is a patient teacher who is loads of fun! I heartily recommend Julieann as a dance teacher.
