Introduction: I provide counseling for adults with a wide variety of personal issues including (but not limited to) self-esteem, stress management, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, addictions, managing life changes, anger management, marriage and relationship skills and issues, parenting, assertiveness, and LGBT issues.
Approximately 75% of my counseling clients are couples seeking help with trust, intimacy, communication, resolving differences and managing conflict. Sometimes one or both individuals in the relationship also come to address their personal issues that are impacting their relationship with their spouse or partner or other areas of their lives.
I don't attempt to help individuals with suicidal tendencies or those who have experienced, childhood sexual trauma or domestic violence. In these very important cases, however, I may be able to refer to resources with the skills to address these life issues.
I take a psychological approach to counseling based on more than 15 years of experience. I frequently use cognitive and behavioral techniques. I do not take a religious approach to counseling.
All of my appointments are in an office in Vandalia, Ohio. I do not meet counseling clients at other locations.
I charge $40 for a 60-minute session. Payments must be in cash. The low cost for a 60-minute session is possible because no billing or check/insurance processing is done.
Please note that the cost of the session is not covered by insurance.
There is a $20 charge for missed sessions that are not cancelled 24 hours in advance.
Appointments are available on Thursdays beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the last appointment at 7:30 p.m. Appointments are also available on Wednesday evenings. Other times may be available depending on the week.
My life purpose is to make a difference in the world -- one life at a time. I love helping people to achieve a happy, healthy and rewarding life.
