Introduction: Our clients love the fact that Marsha and I treat their design projects as if they were our only client. Boutique style decorating for individual tastes, within budget. We always try to integrate many of their cherished pieces, even if we move and repurpose them. We have access to hundreds of major furniture companies, first run fabrics, and outstanding workmanship, and always save money for clients! Many of my clients have become good friends! I love that! Marla has decorated three of my homes. Two of my homes are over 7000 sq. ft. and one is 13,000 sq. ft. Working with Marla made huge decorating jobs stress free and Marla is genius at saving money on her decorating projects without sacrificing top quality. Marla has an incredible eye and once you begin working with her, she totally understands your decorating style preferences. One of my homes is traditional, one is a mountain retreat similar to an English country estate, and one is a transitional Florida home. In each case, she designed décor that was both beautiful and appropriate for the style of each of these homes. Her subcontractors are carefully selected and did a great job with drapes, bedding, built-ins and other items. Marla treats your decorating project as if it were her own home, and she knows how to stay on budget. I couldn't be more pleased with the decorating jobs she has done for me, and I constantly recommend her to friends. I can unequivocally recommend her to you as well.

You can'take do better than Interiors by Marla. If you know what you want she will find it at the best price. If you need ideas Marla has great ones. Best designer I have ever used.

Marla did an outstanding job of helping us decorate our new home helping us use some existing furnishings and purchasing some new ones. She is affordable, budget conscious, delightful to work with, very resourceful, and flexible to work with any style or client personality. She is the best compared to other decorators I have used.

We needed help decorating the large living area in our new home. We wanted to make a cozier space that was functional for our lifestyle and integrated some of our existing furniture. Marla listened carefully to our needs and had good ideas for the use of the space that we had not thought of. She has a great eye for color and texture. She is always upbeat and she listens to you because she knows that this is your home and she wants you to be happy. Her rates are more than reasonable compared to other designers and she works within your budget. We highly recommend Marla.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$100 per hour to consult, shop, and plan. This is the cost for two designers in total.No charge for drive time. All purchased items are of the finest quality at 35-40% off of retail cost. I always save my clients money and respect their budgets.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Visit their home and chat about what their dreams are for their home. Our initial visits are always complimentary to be sure a client is comfortable with us before moving forward. We listen to their ideas and find out what they love, and how they want to use each space. Next We prepare a complete design plan to prioritize each part of the project, complete with budget estimates.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Training in interior design, space planning, color, and rules of interior design. My colleague, Marsha Ritter is a licensed Interior Designer with over 35 years experience. She is an expert in furniture, scale, and renovations.
