Introduction: We offer professional individual and group lessons at an affordable rate. Our instructor's etiquette and know-how are what separates us from the pack. In addition we are routinely among the highest rated surf instructors in the state. We genuinely are rewarded when our students apply the knowledge they're given to check surfing off a summer wishlist or lifelong goals. I also immensely enjoy watching the surprise kids and adults get when we teach not only surfing, but oceanography, meteorology, surf 'lingo', and much more.

I have had the pleasure of knowing this young man for almost two years. He has been our family surf instructor since 2016. When we heard that he was creating his own company we were fully supportive and provided him as a reference to others. During this period he taught two adults and three kids (7, 11 and 15 years) surfing in a very professional and efficient manor. His training methods are marked by creativity, sensitivity and motivation. He is a very responsible and risk-aware young person, especially when he interacts with smaller kids who need more supervision and guidance. We knew him originally as a very skilled and professionally experienced surf instructor prior to us retaining him as our instructor. We are very grateful to have him as our teacher. Wyatt showed an excellent amount of care and feedback during our surf lessons. After each wave he would ALWAYS cheer on as I learned how to stand up and have control of the board then quickly swim to me as he gave positive feedback and new tips. He has a photographer that you can choose to come and have take pictures so you can see yourself and what you need to improve on. It was truly a quality surf lesson and I would not recommend going to anybody else. I've gone to other surf camps in the past with my family for summer time activities and we have not improved and hadn't not developed a love for surfing like we did when we were with VB Surf Lessons.

OuR family of 4 enrolled in the 3 day surf camp due to the great price and because we were referred by a previous family who spoke very highly of Wes and VBSL. Our instructor was very professional, giving in-depth tips in and out of the water while creating a fun and motivational atmosphere. What separates these guys/gals were the affordability and the care which they put into our family's lesson. The larger surf camps of the area seem to just churn out students who don't advance too much due to the amount of students they try and handle, all the while charging a substantially higher price. I highly recommend VBSL.

INDIVIDUAL: 1 day (3 hours) one-on-one $100 | 3 days (9hours) $250 | GROUPS: $45 a surfer | CAMP: (RECOMMENDED) 5 days: $280
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Determining a customer's comfort level in the water, then determining the customer's goals and expectations of our services/company, explain what we expect of the students and what service/regimen best suited their individual needs, answer any questions the customer may have, and finally ensure that their is a significant level of trust and understanding between the instructors and the students.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All staff have worked for prior surf lesson schools, have college degrees (business administration, business management, etc.), are CPR certified, have extensive training as lifeguards, and mentor/motivational training (leadership).
