Introduction: If you find honey bees swarming on your property, please don't harm them. Please do not spray the bees or call an exterminator (most exterminators will not spray bees) as beekeepers will not want to remove any honey bees that have been exposed to toxic chemicals. Please call a beekeeper who will come out and relocate them to a new home where they can safely continue their important work. The Virginia Beach Bee Club (VBBC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Virginia Beach. Our mission is to promote and foster community awareness, beekeeper fellowship, education, resources, and overall importance and understanding of the honeybee (Apis mellifera) using sustainable, chemical-free beekeeping methods. Our goals are to champion the survival and health of honeybees, to assist local beekeepers with local municipalities and states to invoke reasonable apiculture legislation, to provide support to new and experienced beekeepers and public interest via monthly meetings and scheduled events and to demonstrate Best Management Practices (BMP’s) throughout the Virginia Beach area.

I called Virginia Beach Bee Club because I had a swarm of bees that had gathered in our tree. They came right out and was able to relocate the bees into a beehive. Very nice and professional.
