A friend of mine had used Ruiz Landscaping to do some landscaping and I saw the work and contacted them. They called back that day and came out on the same day to look at what I needed done. They were professional, very personable and attentive to what I was asking and gave great suggestions and gave me the quote that day. I had a lot of yard to clean up and I was very pleased of the results. I have more to do and when I'm ready I will certainly hire them again.

The job was to powerwash a 3 story house with aluminum (not vinyl) siding. Needed it done quickly. Genaro said he could do it the next day(Thursday) and quoted $900. Asked a painter who was working at the house if this seemed reasonable, he said range might be $600-$1000, so I said OK. Genaro Ruiz sent an incompetent crew. They broke a window, tore off a piece of siding, and did not wash the house, except for some streaky lines. It looked worse than before. Used chemical meant for vinyl siding, not aluminum. Genaro said he would take a look and make it right. Friday he sent someone else to look. I told him Genaro he had to fix window and siding. If he didn't want to do job, at least he would have done the right thing. I wouldn't pay him but I wouldn't give him a bad review. If HE personally would supervise job, I would let him do it. Monday the same guy replaced window, did not clean up broken glass, I wouldn't let him fix siding or do job. Tuesday I called Genaro. He promised to come by personally in one hour. Instead he sent the same guy. Who mainly said who's going to pay for the work done? He said I couldn't prove they broke the window, which wasn't broken before they came. When I kicked him off the property, he said "You don't live here. Maybe somebody might break that window again." I took down his license plate. Also note, neither Ruiz Landscaping and Construction, nor Genaro Ruiz is a licensed home improvement contractor in the state of Connecticut. I don't know what activities require licensing.
