About this pro
Walter is an exceptional teacher who has endless patience and is able to instill a faith in his students abilities to reach their goals. I have been a student of his for a little over 2 years and am always treated with respect and each lesson is productive because he has a plan for my dance journey. He wants me to be the best dancer that I can possibly be. He always arrives on time, neatly groomed and ready to work, yet each lesson is fun, too. I have seen he and his partner dance and know that I am being trained by a real professional. I am getting true value for the time and money spent. I highly recommend Walter as a ballroom dance instructor, and on top of that, he is a fine person and has become a friend. SharonMay 31, 2018
I have been dancing with Walter for a long time now. He is thorough, concise and very clear on his coaching. He had definitely put my dance ability on the next level. Walter is a dance extraordinaire with style, poise and class. No matter what level you are at he will make sure you shine on the dance floor! I would recommend you grab your dancing shoes and try a couple of lessons with him. You won’t regret it!May 31, 2018

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer a New Student Introductory price to determine how you will learn. I have to know what makes your brain tick :) You'll have the option of Extending the New Student Price up to 4 Lessons. It's a pretty good deal on my end. My regular price includes floor fees which vary based on location. I teach in Pleasant Hill & Lafayette primarily.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The process involves understanding your unique way of learning in order to communicate effectively. Remember, I want to know what makes your brain Tick :) If you have: No Experience I will walk you through and teach you the 4 easy principles of dancing. I'm not kidding when I say its easy. I have my ways. Beginners I will look for the basic principles of dancing and introduce new concepts. In my mind a beginner knows more or less how to move. New concepts simply means that we take dough and make it into bread or! a DONUT. Intermediate I will look for basic principles and concepts of partner dancing and introduce precision. At this point you understand how dance and you do it socially or frequently. Now I want to teach you how to harness your spontaneous moments. Advanced I will expect basic principles and concepts, look for precision, and introduce or refine body actions if not already present. In other words, you know how to social dance, a bit of a show-off :), and people tell you how graceful you are because you're a performer. Here I teach you how to use your body musicaly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? Here are a few things that make me credible and a few cool achievements. Although, I know you will be convinced after our first lesson ;) Certified with Honors 8+ years Teaching as a Pro (Privates & Group Classes) Salsa Champion Future Champion Smooth 3rd Future Champion Rhythm 2nd ProAM Bronze Champion (C) ProAM Bronze Champion (Jr) Top Student Awards Top Teacher Awards from 2012-2017 Trained with Top Competitive Pros in NYC BA in Theater Arts Minor in Anthropology, Education intensive
