Introduction: I have over 9 years of teaching yoga and more than 15 years of studying and practicing it. I came to yoga after my competitive running career ended due to injury and have maintained it during my many years as a marketing & advertising sports executive. I bring a sense of humour to my teaching as well as deep sincerity about how yoga can transform one's life. My teaching style emphasizes both alignment and anatomical principles, and my goal is to help my students integrate yoga into their daily lives. I enjoy helping to bring a sense of balance and calm to people's lives that are anything but balanced and calm. Working through yoga - through the connection of breath and movement - helps create change from the inside out.

Katherine is truly a jewel. I was extremely lucky to encounter her as a substitute teacher, but her knowledge, enthusiasm, erudition, attention to details, clarity in explanation and light-filled energy make her one of the best yoga instructors I have ever come across. She was even able to very thoughtfully help me through an injury. I feel very lucky to be able to learn from her.

I have been working with Catherine in private sessions for a while. She is an excellent teacher, breaking down each sequence to the basics and making sure the fundamentals are correct before progressing. After each session she provides notes recapping allowing one to review and practice on your own

I have a set hourly price but am willing to be flexible if multiple sessions are pre-purchased in advance or if the client is willing to travel to me. Let's talk!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to spend 15min ahead of our first session interviewing the client about his or her interests, his or her medical condition, his or her experience with movement or sport, his or her experience with yoga to date, his or her goals for developing or enhancing a yoga practice, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
