- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of my rates are negotiable, and are dependent on the length, type of document or content, and timeline.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'm always willing to answer questions that a new customer has about me and my work, but it's most important for me to get a sense of what the customer's needs are. Are they seeking a simple proofread, or is a more extensive copy edit or fact check required? Does the customer have samples of already-edited work that I can review to get a sense of their writing voice and style? These questions are only a few that I ask during an on-boarding process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Throughout my undergraduate education I served as a peer editor and resource for classmates. In my current role as a senior managing editors, I've edited thousands of pages of written content and worked with other experienced editors to hone my proofreading and copyediting skills.
