Thank you Jesse for the review. Just so that others understand, the mission here was to provide TEMPORARY relief from a very loud, back-up air compressor in a medical office. The office was moving in a few weeks so we were only looking for a solution that lasted less than two months but did not make it 60 days of head pounding noise for the patients and staff. If we were looking for a permanent solution, the cabinet would have been rebuilt to accommodate the space and other medical requirements. As it was, we dropped the noise about 20 decibels for $150. When the doctor leaves, this Roxul noise dampening insulation can be simply thrown away. It's fun getting creative to meet the actual needs a client has and saving money at the same time. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I'm likely not the cheapest guy out there. When I hear that my bid was the lowest I usually wonder what I missed. I will say that the quality of my work is something that I take pride in. You can look at my reviews here and on other sites to see that I have an extensive professional knowledge base and skill set. Most importantly, I treat your house like my wife and boys were living there. No short cuts, Period.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Shut up and listen to what the client wants. I hate when people talk over me because what they have to say is more important than giving me the respect of finishing my sentence. Once I've listened to the client, I start asking questions to make sure that I understand what it is they want. If there are other issues that I find while doing the walk through, I point them out and help educate the client on their importance and whether those issues need to be addressed prior to the call I'm on. Once I understand the scope of the project, I also start to mention alternatives based on our conversation. These alternatives are just to make sure the client is aware of what else is in the market or what the other possibilities are. For example, if I heard something about a mobility issue then perhaps we should discuss lowering the tread height for the stairs so they are not so difficult to climb.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?OSHA10 Construction safety, Red Cross first aide. Army Engineers Carpentry and Masonry training at the School of Engineers. Master Shingle Applicator. Certified Master Roofer.
