Brittany worked wonders with our dog, Dora. Dora was a rescue from the house next door where she was tied up as a small puppy and left outside. We got her when she was still small but it was obvious we would need to spend time getting some professional help. Brittany was always so calm and collected when she came over and had lots of different ideas and suggestions for us to try. She always made me feel at ease, no matter how bad Dora was behaving at the moment, and I knew I could trust her to do what was best for all of us. With practice and Brittany's guidance we now have one of the best behaved dogs I know. I always get compliments from the groomer and when she spends the night with her dog sitters about how good she is. Give her time, trust her to get to know you and your dog, and do your homework. (Of course you have to do homework and practice!) You won't regret it!

I was a first time dog owner. Brittany help me pick the perfect dog for my family. Initially, I had selected a different breed, but after getting to know my family, she constructively gave me reasons as to why a different breed would be better. She also went with us to purchase our dog and she was right on point. After putting our dog through her camp, our job was easy. She gave us very helpful information on training our puppy, specifically, how to react with others which was a vital element for us since our children were young and had their friends over a lot. We are so happy that Brittany was able to make this experience so wonderful for us. I refer all of my friends to her.

I took Brittany's group training class when I adopted a Lab/Pointer mix. I have three dogs and she is by far the best behave out of all three. I have moved to Arizona, but Brittany allows me to still reach out to her as I try to take the skills I learned while training Mia and use them on my other two dogs. I wish I was able to bring Brittany out her to help with my male Lab. Thank you Brittany for your help in the past.

Brittany is an amazing trainer! She has an unbelievably understanding of dogs and is very professional. She was able to quickly asses my dogs and correct all negative behavior almost immediately.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a no obligation, free evaluation with my potential clients and their pets. During this evaluation, I like to ask questions to see what the clients main concerns are, answer any questions they may have about myself or Highland Canine. We can talk about different training methods.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked with and grew up around dogs. I've always been fascinated by what they are capable of and this brought me to Highland Canine Dog Trainers School in 2008. After returning to Tampa I became Highland Canine's Florida Trainer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with clients that own dogs of all different breeds, sizes and ages. I have worked with service dogs, pet dogs and dogs that have bite citations on them. I have also worked with rescue groups and shelters so I have handled hundreds of dogs with all different personalities.
