FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Base is usually $80 to $100, but can be up to $160, which includes up to 2 hrs labor, and $30 to $50/hr after that. Material not included in base price. Any material I buy for the job is charged to you at anywhere from 10 to 20% above total. Base price and material charge will vary depending on what the work is, how long I expect it to take, and other applicable circumstances (such as travel distance or time, and/or physicality involved).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communicate with the client about the work to be done, set up a time for consulation, discuss pricing and schedule a time to do the work. Typically, work can be performed at the same time as the consultation, unless additional parts or equipment are necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been working in the electrical trade for 14 years. I have completed multiple safety courses, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, multiple single day courses in lighting, occupancy sensors, and energy management. I completed my classroom instruction at Lincoln Technical Institute, (formerly New England Technical Institute), with a 3.9 GPA. I am a certified Small Business Energy Auditor through EverSource.
