I have never been a fan of getting my make up done because i was always weary about it being too much on my face or looking horrible. Either the shadow would look messy or the foundation would be too heavy and come out looking clownish. Working with Jose was such an incredible and mind changing experience. I had such a great time as him as his staff prepped my friends and myself for her birthday dinner in the city. I must say he has much personality and is quite the perfectionist which made being in his chair blissful. He took his time with application and made sure everything was perfect. He even encouraged me to try a bolder look and transformed me into quite the little DIVA that night. His technique and skills are flawless and contour was on point. oH AND YES he did bake me ladies! and when they didn't have the lip color i desired, he made it for me (deep forest green). :-) He had my face all the way together ( i wish i could post the picture). It looked so neat clean and professional. He was timely too !I haven't had another experience quite like it yet.When i got home that night i was so sad I had to wash my face off. My friends laughed at me as i murmured " i just wanna go back to the woman i was last night" the next morning." I wish i could start everyday with him beating my face. BOOK HIM!

Jose was amazing in every respect. As a personal assistant for an NBA player, my schedule can sometimes get hectic - however, Jose took me on short notice and thank goodness he did, because I felt so confident the entire night at the NBA event and I received NUMEROUS compliments on my make up the entire night. He took his time, and made sure that he had precision in every stroke! He made sure that each part of my face was exactly the way I wanted it before moving on to the next step. He was very professional and I will certainly come back to him again and again and again! He killed my contour :)

I had the pleasure of working with Jose for a last minute event I was having! I was nothing less then amazed at his creation of exactly what I wanted. I was always so scared of getting my makeup done, that it was a bit unsettling. But Jose's passion and ability to listen to what I wanted he was able to impress me and make me feel stunning without being dramatic. I will definitely be reccomending him!

My first time using thumbtack , and I was very nervous, but found Jose and not only did he make me feel more at ease with his portfolio but he doesn't charge an arm and a leg like most quotes I get . He made me feel soooo beautiful on my wedding day , even my husband loved it and he HATES me in makeup . I'm happy to have found my new favorite artist ! Thank you for making me beautiful!!! I have been trained by multiple brands on their products and how to use them and what clients they work best for. My kit includes cosmetics from multiple professional brands, therefore quality in my artistry is lasting, and seamless I have assisted many great artist , being taught by some of the best making me very well rounded and versatile, able to deal with diversity and different skin types and textures. Becoming certafied as an elevated Makeup Artist / Color Specialist
How did you get started doing this type of work?
In Chicago and then to Florida As a child my grandmother worked as a hair stylist and I was always intrigued. That facination led me to cosmetology school in NYC. During cosmetology I discovered how deep my passion for makeup and artistry was.
