I've been a student of Denson's for about 2 years now, studying both electric and upright. He's a great instructor and will definitely set you on the right path for getting where you want to be musically. Denson also possesses a wealth of knowledge that you can easily access through text or email outside of your lessons. He's one of the best bass players in Utah, start taking lessons!

Music truly is my passion, my love, and my whole life. It always has been and always will be, God willing. Dr. Denson Angulo has given me and continues to give me all the tools, information, insight, and much more that I need to achieve the goals I want to, to reach my full potential, and to continue growing in/with music herself, not just on the bass. Dr. Angulo has not just been an amazing teacher, but he's become a good friend of mine, too. I couldn't recommend Dr. Denson Angulo high enough. Not only is Denson an extremely sought after professional bass player, he is a distinguished and exceptional pedagogue. He has a warm personality which makes him very approachable, and lessons with him are an absolute blast. His approach to teaching has taken my bass playing and musicianship to another level. He is super responsive throughout the week to any questions I have, and provides tips to improve my practice. I couldn't recommend Denson more.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $1.33/minute for lessons. Basically, $80/hour. $40/half hour. Lessons are 4 times per month, once per week. Billed monthly, so $320or $160.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Diagnosing musical abilities, setting goals, assigning tasks right away.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a doctor of musical arts degree from the University of Utah in bass performance and teaching.
