As a first time Thumbtack customer; I must say " Finishers Repair and Consulting did an OUTSTANDING job!!! Mr Jobert was very professional and knowledgeable with every question I asked and believe me I asked questions. I was highly impressed with the quality of tile he suggested and it helped that he saved me money on materials. My Family room and kitchen looks like it can be in a Home Depot catalog! I will be definitely be using Finishers Repair and Consulting for my Bathroom Reno in January!Nov 6, 2016Verified
Hired to replace tile, replace bathroom window, seal tile, paint bathroom walls and ceiling, install shower door, towel bars and shower fixtures. At the end, the tile job was messy and no other jobs were completed except painting the walls (ceiling was not painted because they failed to bring the paint). Original agreed upon price was $1,750. Final amount paid $2,375 because my "changes" resulted in a "custom job". The tiler started hanging tile horizontally instead of vertically. After about 4-5 tiles I discovered this and had him reinstall to go vertically. He tiled the soap niche with the decorative tile on the side walls going vertically instead of horizontally like the rest of the niche. I asked him to replace those with wall tile. He edged the tile using plastic trim instead of tile, resulting in a cheap look. Some of the tile is uneven, not lined up properly or at different levels, some grouted poorly and nothing is symmetrical or sealed. The tile on the threshold is lower than the plastic trim which prevents water from draining into the shower -- it drains into the bathroom instead. There is no slope in the soap niches so that water puddles and does not drain. He refused to trim the tile so the shower faucet handle (trim kit) could be installed and said I should select a different faucet handle. Finally, the contractor purchased supplies which were not used. He charged me for these and said I could return for credit. Of course, Home Depot would only place the credit back on his account. He has not reimbursed me for these. I am now hiring another contractor to correct the deficiencies that must be done so the shower can be used.Oct 7, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? No job is standard so i would have to find out what it takes to get it done, but i am flexible with my clients.I understand things happen and im more than happy to assist in anyway possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Find out who my customer is and what they like.Try and understand what my customer need as opposed to telling them what needed.I listen to my customers and offer advice, that's about the extent of our first meeting. After I know what my customer wants i do whatever it takes to make that happen, as long as they are happy I've done my job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've worked in construction and maintenance a combined total of 16 yrs. I have an associates in business management and I am currently studying for my General Contractors license.
