About this pro
For a siding project I had 3 contractor's come out to discuss. I went with Vista after reading wonderful reviews. I haven't had the best experience that other client's received. I was promised craftsmanship. I received carelessness, lack of communication, and a company that refuses to finish a job after countless phone calls. The old saying, "You get what you pay for" doesn't apply with this contractor. You get less for what you pay for. During a week's time I had a kicked in garden fence, pieces of shingles hanging in my trees (after the job mind you), broken outdoor lighting, broken outdoor electrical boxes, a zillion nails, staples, sharp pieces of siding (that I spent 2 days cleaning up AFTER the job when I was told, "It will look like a landscaper was here!"and I reiterated I have 2 active dogs who are out in our yard daily), and my outdoor shrubs were massacred for their scaffolding to fit. I asked for the owner, Brian, to come out. He did, we discussed the issues, he promised it would be addressed, including his team drilled holes thru my garden window and now I have holes and cracks, and have NEVER been addressed or corrected. The job started on 10/31. I still am waiting to receive my slider to my back deck, 2 pairs of shutters, and a replacement window. Today is 12/5. I've called several times and cannot get thru to this company. I usually leave great reviews and never a negative.. until now. If you enjoy stress, chaos, carelessness, and lack of respect with a big price tag this is the company for you. Time to find an attorney unfortunately.Dec 5, 2017VerifiedVista H.'s reply
We appreciate all reviews weather positive or negative. Feedback is greatly utilized and shared amongst the company. However there are some reviews that we need to make sure the details are accurate. I, Brian Rudd the owner, went out to see the customer while the job was going on to discuss the three feet 8 inch high wired garden fence , the garden window, and a couple of other items. We addressed and finished them. Keep in mind this was while the job was ongoing so these are punch list items. We also had a slider that had to be remade so it was installed at a later date. I went to the customers house and did a walk around. This was after the job was done and waiting on a few remaining items i.e. the patio slider. At that time the customer was very happy. I walked around and picked up small debris in the bushes. I could not find "zillions of Nails" which the customer found after I left. Seemed very happy when I left. Then things changed. We continually reached out to the customer with very few returned calls. We completed every thing and installed 4 sets of shutters at no charge. Also there were no broken electrical boxes etc...Those are taken down when doing the job then reinstalled. That is standard on every siding job. Also we received jobs from this job due to the drastic change in the home with then new job. We completed everything except putting in the three foot section of fence that goes around shrubs. We could not push them in the ground while frozen. Also, waiting for follow up on a light. The interesting thing is we placed calls on January 25th and have received no calls back. All with a large balance due. Would like to install the fencing and check on the light however as of 3/19/2018 no response. Just a large balance due. hmm.... I would put finish pictures up however I cannot post them to this site. If you are looking for a exterior siding job that is beautiful to see then call us at the office and we can share the pics. If anyone has any questions please call the office, e mail me ( email@example.com), or call me on my mobile at 413-335-4396. I would be more than happy to discuss any of your projects, concerns, etc with you! Have a blessed day! Brian Rudd Owner Vista Home Improvement
