Introduction: I tutor all levels of mathematics through Calculus. I have been in K-12 and college education for over 15 years as a teacher, administrator, and tutor. I first fell in love with education as a career while peer-tutoring as a college student. I have been a teacher and administrator; however, tutoring contains all the rewards of working closely with a student and none of the draw-backs of managing a class.

After deciding to return to school, and complete my degree, the last class I had to take was a Technical Math class. Being years later, this class was no longer offered - I had to take it as an independent student, meaning I had no instructor, or class to show up to, only a syllabus and a Math book. A Math assistance area was available to students, and there I met the tutor I write of here. Of the 6 to 8 tutors available, I signed up with Dave as much as possible. The class I was taking dealt with Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry as well as an introduction to Calculus. I could barely remember how to factor a problem, but working with Dave, he spent the time to help me get through the basics, and had the patience to answer many of my off the wall questions, and many that I thought were unrelated. The first test I took before I asked for any assistance, I had totally bombed. A 47... I knew I'd need help and after working with Dave for a week and a half, the retake test I took got me an 88. Dave helped me gain the confidence I needed to figure out problems on my own, and showed me how I could apply other concepts and equations from other chapters and solve new problems in a variety of ways. I am on my last exam now, and I still choose to wait in line to work with this excellent tutor, when there are another 5 available at any time. If you are in need of assistance with Math, and are looking for someone to help you either from the very basics to intermediate and advanced topics, I would highly recommend Dave as he is an outstanding tutor, with loads of patience and knowledge, as well as being incomparable to other tutors in his willingness to help and assist you as much as you need. David has been irreplaceable in helping me to prepare for a college level placement exam after several years with no mathematic exposure. He is obviously very passionate about what he does and it translates into the high quality of his tutoring. He gave me access to very intuitive resources and through them I’ve been able to re-learn more about math in a few months than in years during school, as well as doing so at my own pace which is extremely important to me. I really appreciate his patience, flexibility, and professionalism throughout the entire time we have worked together. Would definitely hire again if I need Math assistance in the future and would reccomend him if I knew somebody else who was struggling.
