B&A Contractors built a second floor deck for our house. Brian and his team where extremely professional and responsive to our questions and concerns. I would recommend them for your home improvement projects.Jun 21, 2018Verified
Brian was very prompt with the quote and estimate, as well responding to all the questions that came up throughout the process. The new composite decking turned out great: Mike did awesome job with demo and installation. The work took a bit longer than estimated (partially due to weather conditions and partially because of the demo) but we are very satisfied with the end result. As for cost, B&A provided us with a very reasonable quote and acceptable terms - there were no surprises. All in all, great job. We will be reaching out to Brian for our future projects.Jun 1, 2018VerifiedBrian D.'s reply
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. The deck looks great! We appreciate your business and look forward to working with you again in the future.
After meeting with the contractor to get a bid, I knew B & A Contracting was the company for me. The contractor had been a workman himself, so he knew all aspects of the remodeling job, and appeared confident that he could give me a great deck for a reasonable price. Our business was cemented with an online contract and a check for 1/3 down. The next week a workman came on time to rip out the old deck and start work on the new. When the contractor came to check on the progress, he found the wooden supports (onto which the deck was secured) had rotted through, due to faulty original construction fifty years ago. The builder had to replace those boards to make sure the deck was sturdy. Though it cost a bit more, I was please to know the deck would be up to code and had a lifetime labor warranty transferable once, ready for the new owners when we sold our home. During three of the four days, it rained, but the hardworking builder continued long hours to complete the job on time. After four days, the pressure treated deck was finished, and it looked wonderful! The workman also cleaned up the leaves, construction debris, and other debris that had been around and under the old construction. He swept the deck off, and, with that, the total appeal level rose. I am so pleased. Thank you, B & A. The only concern I had was that I had to pay with cash or check. It is always nice to use a credit card for large purchases and/or repairs.May 17, 2018VerifiedBrian D.'s reply
Thank you for the review. We are so glad you were happy with everything. We appreciate your business!
The work done was very good. There were communication problems about when I could expect the crew to show up. Several start and stops so it took longer than expected to get the work completed. Hopefully they will get those problems fixed.Jul 15, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?More than likely we can beat our competitors price. We don’t have the overhead that a larger company has which allows us to offer a very competitive price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We like to meet our customers in person and go over the scope of the project they are looking to have done. We will provide a free estimate and the customer can then take their time to think it over and call us when they’re ready to proceed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We have over 20 years experience in the industry.
