FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My usual fee is $1100 and includes all normal travel expenses, with a $200 discount for active duty US military personnel. HOWEVER, AT THE MOMENT, I AM JUST DOING REMOTE WEDDINGS ON ZOOM/FACETIME/ETC. WHERE PERMITTED. GIVEN THE TIMES, I AM ONLY CHARGING $200.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My ceremonies are tailored and personalized to be most effective for the people I am serving. So I start by getting to know you, your situation, what you like and what you don’t like. Then I will offer appropriate options and ideas - though ultimately it is your event and should be what you want. The result is a beautiful ceremony that reflects your uniqueness as a couple, officiated by a rabbi who has gotten to know you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A graduate of Wellesley College and lifelong student of Judaism, I was ordained at Jewish Spiritual Leaders Institute (JSLI). I am licensed to officiate weddings in the five boroughs of New York City. (Other locations don’t generally require special licensing.) And I am a licensed facilitator for Prepare/Enrich couples counseling.
