If given one word to describe my experience with Elizabeth Grayce Design, it is “transformational”. Over the years, I had accumulated a few more clothes, scarves and handbags than I realized. With no real organization system for housing and maintaining these things, they were often found in piles in various bedrooms. I needed help! I reached out to Elizabeth and explained my problem and goals. We arranged a consult at my home on a Saturday morning which was so convenient for my schedule. She arrived promptly at the hour we agreed on and started the session listening and learning more about my home organization challenges. Her personable, reassuring style immediately put me at ease. Before diving into the actual “home organization”, she discussed various methodologies for how we could approach this project. It’s important to Elizabeth that her client can see the success of their efforts. I so appreciated Elizabeth’s client-focused approach. Rather than jumping to solutions, she continually asked for my feedback to ensure that my goals were being met through our work together. We agreed to start on the closet in my bedroom. This is the closet that should be the storage area for my clothes, scarves and handbags but it was in long over-due need of decluttering and organization. I had tried many times to declutter this closet but always found myself reluctant to part with clothes that I thought maybe, just maybe I would fit into again. Someday. Elizabeth’s methodology helped me to let go of clothes and accessories that I hadn’t worn in years yet hadn’t previously been able to bring myself to donate. As we sorted through the piles of clothes and such, Elizabeth provided all the needed support and supplies to make this anticipated chore an enjoyable, productive experience. By the end of our 3 hours, I had many industrial black bags filled with donations and an incredibly organized closet that I couldn’t believe was mine. Not only was it organized but it was done in way I could easily maintain it! I was so impressed with the Elizabeth Grayce Design experience that I have scheduled another session – this time we’re focused on organizing the kitchen!
