Most of the photos I've had done by Mike are live action or in motion situations. He has an amazing way of catching the most perfect shot every time. The final result is always a clear beautiful picture with expert lighting, background and cropping. High quality work by a great photographer!Jun 9, 2018Michael H.'s reply
Mike Hickman's tremendous attention to detail in terms of staging a photo is some of the most meticulous I've ever witnessed. His creative ability to frame a shot perfectly using everything from the sun's angle to a piece of reflective insulation has been awesome to observe and his work speaks for itself. You will struggle to find a more professional, capable or flexible photographer and I would recommend his services for any event, particularly those which would mean the most to you. As a performing arts teacher, my students have been the subjects of Mike's efforts for a few years now and the moments, both static and dynamic, he has captured for them have been nothing short of incredible. Please note Mike's outstanding work in the attached photo!Jun 8, 2018Michael H.'s reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I don’t have a studio so I can keep my prices fair for the local market.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? After initial contact is made we either continue via email or a phone call. I like to find what you’re looking for and then see if we can work together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We live in a time where knowledge is shared freely or at a nominal fee about almost anything, so I have chosen to take a self-guided approach to my work. From YouTube to other pros in the industry, I glean from these sources to make my photography in my style. I have learned composition, lighting and editing from them and have put in hours of practice by myself and with others before bringing my skills to market with clients. Sometimes a client may ask for something I haven’t tried, or at the end of a session I may ask them if we can try something new and I am usually happy with the results that are achieved.
