FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a schedule set up for voice, violin and piano lessons with different prices for lessons of 30, 45 and 60 minutes in length. There are also incentives for students who refer a new student who starts and takes lessons for at least six months. For financially disadvantaged students there are scholarships available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Having set up studio policies and guidelines, I set up an introductory meeting to meet the potential student, listen to possible voice students, go over the policies and guidelines and work out an agreeable time for lessons.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked on both a major in piano and voice while also majoring in nursing. With many years of voice and piano private lessons, as well as college classes in both, I began teaching piano and voice while working as a R.N. I also sang and played piano professionally, as well as becoming a church and college musician and teacher. I have been fortunate to be the soloist in military communities where I sang for both military and community programs. I have also been the featured soloist with the High Desert Orchestra, as well as in many churches. Since my father played violin for many years he taught me to play his violin. Due to requests for violin lessons I am now teaching beginning violin as well as piano and voice.
