Bob is an excellent teacher! I have been taking bass guitar lessons with him for the past 4 months. As an adult just beginning to learn the bass, I am very happy that Bob tailors the lessons for me and my interests. From the beginning, we played songs from musicians that I enjoy (Black Sabbath, The Kinks, The White Stripes) and not the simplistic Mary Had a Little Lamb stuff you find in most beginning guitar books. Bob also incorporates music theory into our lessons in a fun and interesting way. For example, we'll be working on a Black Sabbath riff and he'll use it to demonstrate the pentatonic scale. Bob is kind, friendly, and professional. Our lessons start on time and he uses every minute of the lesson to its max. I am always excited to go to each lesson. I would highly recommend Bob to anyone looking to learn the guitar or bass guitar!

I started studying guitar with Bob in May, 2013, and since then I've added electric bass, songwriting, drums, and recording/production to our lessons. Bob has a deep pool of knowledge and is a great player, an active composer, and a skilled communicator of musical ideas. He's also enthusiastic, supportive, and a genuinely nice guy! Highest recommendation!!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $30 per half hour. I also offer 45 minute lessons for $45 and 60 minute lessons for $60. Lessons are usually set up once a week. Payments are due the last lesson of a month for the following month. I typically offer a makeup if there is an occasional missed lesson (due to illness, vacations etc.).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Find out what a new student knows, what their goals are, what music they like, and what I can do to help them. I take beginners, intermediate and advanced students of all ages.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Music Education degree and many years of experience in guitar and bass guitar instruction, performance, music theory, songwriting and production. I have hundreds of instructional videos available through my website and youtube channel.
