Beginning as a live newscast director in Roanoke, VA and Knoxville, TN Judy worked her way up building a successful career as the Corporate Executive Product Manager for a large media company in New York. She based her office at WXII12 in Winston-Salem. Leading digital strategy and execution for thirty television stations around the country she built expertise in • negotiating contracts and managing vendors, • social media and email marketing, • photo and video editing, • web and mobile content and promotion. Managing new products’ conception to completion, aligning multiple moving pieces, and diverse cross-divisional teams from entry to c-level Sales, Marketing, and Production teams, her brands surpassed goals on time and under budget. Colleagues say she’s the “Most kind and most helpful person I’ve worked with.” A detail oriented, collaborative, organized problem solver known for anticipating questions, motivating, educating, and overcoming challenges to get complex jobs completed successfully! - How did you get started doing this type of work?
Growing up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with a passion for photography and design, Judy graduated magna cum laude in Mass Communication from James Madison University with concentrations in visual communication, theatre design, and electronic media. Active in the Winston-Salem community since 2002, Judy first lived downtown enjoying skyline balcony views. She moved to a cottage near Wake Forest University as a first-time home-buyer. After marrying her husband Doug, they bought a family home off Peace Haven and Country Club Roads. She purchased and manages six investment properties in the Triad and in Carolina Beach, NC. Hobbies include cooking, skiing, SCUBA, backyard chickens, and riding her antique Honda motorcycles. Full of wanderlust she loves to travel - she lived a short time in London and recently visited China, Ireland, and Peru. Ask her about a memorable hike up Montaña Machu Picchu.
