FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We price per hour or per project. Many customers ask “can’t you quote for $500 square feet of tile on the phone”. WE NEVER do this, for it causes multiple problems like us underestimating or pricing is out of the job. We are honest and ethical with all of our quotes, we can only do this by making sure what you consider “simple”, may have many factors you have not taken into consideration. Example: tile job - demo/removal of materials, leveling floors, trim install/materials/painting, grouting with/style, transitions/no transitions into rooms and materiel beyond tile.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Jean insists to talk then text. She answers all calls, it’s your home we want you to know we respect it. Jean does all the books, advertising and scheduling. Sean will always say, the boss needs to clear it before he commits to anything.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Sean is Welder by trade, then moved to Boston and learned carpentry. Jean is from NYC, was an Executive in IT for 20 Years, prefers helping a customer design and shop for reasonably materials (she is an amazing bargain hunter and negotiator).
