Molding or baseboards,
This experience was a bit of a mixed bag. I submitted a project request for a screen door installation. We had the door, but none of the hardware or tools to complete the job. Mr. Pino immediately responded to our project request with a personalized message and reasonable quote, which was great! We scheduled a time for him to come by for an assessment, but he didn't show! After waiting about an hour after the appointment time, I called to follow-up. It turns out that he had never received my confirmation details (which I texted as per his request) because I had texted them to the number listed on his Thumbtack profile, which was the wrong number! We rescheduled and he came to do the assessment as arranged, no problems. After deciding to go with Pino Construction, we reached out to coordinate a date for the installation. After leaving a voicemail, we waited several days with no response. After a few more calls and texts, Mr. Pino got back to us and we scheduled an installation appointment for later that week. But he was a no show again! The reason he gave for this second miss was that he had forgotten to write down our appointment time. At this point, I was very torn as to whether I wanted to continue with Pino Construction or go with another contractor. Ultimately, the thought of having to start the vetting process over again was less appealing than giving it one more go with Mr. Pino. So, we rescheduled a second installation appointment. This time, Mr. Pino arrived on time, will all necessary tools and hardware on hand, and completed the project quickly. Throughout the experience, Mr. Pino was always very friendly, but his poor responsiveness was challenging. I originally submitted my project request on October 30th and the door was finally installed on November 21st --- over 3 weeks for a fairly simple project! To be honest, I'm not thrilled with the outcome. But it's hard to tell if that's a reflection on the installation itself or on the experience overall.Nov 25, 2016VerifiedPino Construction's reply
Hi Caitlin I was just checking my text messages. I'm not sure you you had the right person. I wasn't hired until the 13th. I also didn't charge you for the knob and hinges I bought because of the delay from the Saturday I couldnt make it there.Could you please check for me. Thank you
Bob and his team were great to work with. He responded to my inquiry very quickly and came the next day for an estimate. We needed him to correct some finish work that had been done incorrectly. Although a small job, we never felt like it wasn't important to him. He came and completed the job for us and it looks fantastic. I will definitely call him back for future projects.May 16, 2018Verified
Easy to work with, did a nice job and with a quick turnaround, which is exactly what we needed.Mar 18, 2018Verified
If I could give Pino construction more than 5 stars I would. I had a front entry door replaced and they did such a wonderful job. I look foward to hiring Bob Pino for future home improvements.Dec 27, 2017Verified
We hired Bob at the beginning of May to build a small mud room addition. It took a few weeks to get the permit. At which point Bob was to busy to start work. During June & July on three different occasions Bob was scheduled to start working. All three occasions he no showed without contacting me. After the third we let him go. It then took 3 weeks, multiple texts, and multiple calls to get our deposit back. Communication was horrible and there is no excuse for no showing with out a phone call.Aug 14, 2017VerifiedPino Construction's reply
I was hired to work on a mud room. Mike was supposed to have permits. After signing the contract and scheduling the job, he informed me it was going to take weeks to aquire permits. I called multiple times to find out when I could start. I had started another job while waiting and he agreed it was not possible for me to sit and wait for him. We set a date and two days before starting he cancelled the job, leaving me with a whole in my schedule. I did not argure and returned his full deposit. Very Rude and unfair to contractors.
