FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically, I charge $20 per session (60 mins). If the work is more advanced (college level test prep, college level courses, grant writing, etc), I charge $25-30 per session (60 mins).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to make sure that my style of teaching matches with my tutee's style of learning. THERE IS NO "ONE SIZE FITS ALL" METHOD TO TUTORING. Getting to know my tutee a bit better, understanding their goals, and observing their style of learning all help me to provide the proper support and best learning environment when I tutor.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from St. Mary's High School in 2015 and will be graduating from Agnes Scott College in 2018 with two BA's: one in Philosophy, the other in Religious Studies. Throughout my college career, I have done extensive writing as well as published three papers. I also work as a writing and speaking tutor at my college. I have tutored a variety of projects including lab reports, research grant proposals, resumes, cover letters, research papers, graduate school applications, scholarship applications, paper formatting (MLA, Chicago, APA), ESL writers, philosophy papers, English papers, Economics and Psychology case studies, math proofs, PowerPoint slides, and even letters to senators. Whether you need help getting started or a second pair of eyes for editing, I can help!
