FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is done on a per-form basis, with additional services outside of the price list done on a cost-per-hour basis. The price list is provided when you receive the engagement letter (our agreement) to review prior to committing to my services. If the final price varies compared to the initial quote, it is because the original request for service did not fully explain the tax situation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After an initial email/phone consultation, a quote will be provided. Once you accept my quote I require that an agreement be signed to protect us both, this is known as an engagement letter. Next I will gather your prior year return and ID, and all relevant tax data to complete your return. I'll complete your return and contact you with any questions along the way. Afterwards you'll be asked to sign the e-file authorization form. You will be provided with a final copy of your return and the e-file confirmation either electronically or by mail at your request, and an online invoice will be sent to you for payment for my services.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.S. in Accounting degree, I am a Certified Public Accountant, and participate in required 'Continuing Professional Education' courses.
