- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing that we do is assess a students current skill level, and then we assess their goals. There are many different reasons to pursue learning an instrument. There is a different path for someone who wants to pursue music for a hobby as opposed to someone who wants to pursue a music degree. We really desire that lessons be fun and enjoyable. We try to incorporate many different songs and styles that our students enjoy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our teachers have pursued and played music for a very long time. We have teachers that have university level training and extensive touring experience, in addition to having teachers with praise and worship leading and band directing experience. All of our teachers have a true love for the guitar!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I (Steve) started teaching around 2004. I initially had friends asking me to teach them (or their kids) how to play. Before I knew it, I was teaching quite a few students in addition to my full time job. In 2009 I began teaching guitar full time. I starting bringing on other teachers when I could no longer teach all of the inquires that we were receiving.
