At first I wasn’t sure I even wanted to use a personal trainer, but after one session I was hooked! I’ve been going for about 3 months and he has been incredibly supportive and encouraging! I started with minimal knowledge of strength training techniques, so we began with a level which made me feel comfortable and have progressively increased variety and difficulty.

TL;DR Version: I recommend Vinnie highly and without any reservation! He is an exceptionally knowledgeable personal trainer who pays attention to his clients’ needs and goals and crafts their training routines accordingly. He also is very supportive and easy to get along with! Bottom line: Schedule a consultation with him -- you won't regret it! Full Version: I have been training with Vinnie since May of 2018 and my experience with him has been nothing short of phenomenal. I have worked with several personal trainers over the course of my adult life (I am now 30) but Vinnie has been the best, hands down. One thing I really appreciate about the way Vinnie works with his clients is that he is very attentive to what it is they are trying to achieve when he constructs their workout routines and doesn’t try to apply a one-size-fits-all approach. Not only does Vinnie attend to what his clients say they would like to achieve, but he also pays attention what it is their bodies need. For instance, I have some asymmetry in my rear delts that I did not know about – my left rear delt does not engage the same way that my right one does during key moves. I had no idea that I wasn’t engaging these muscles symmetrically. Thanks to Vinnie’s attention to detail and expertise, we can work on making sure I rectify these types of developmental asymmetries. Another facet of Vinnie’s training that I have appreciated is that we are working on developing some functional fitness, rather than *solely* trying to lean me out or build a particular aesthetic. Certainly I have aesthetic goals in mind and those are not being ignored, but having some focus on doing exercises that rely on stabilizing muscles and coordination has been very rewarding (and challenging!) for me. Because Vinnie tailors his approach to his clients’ goals, I’m confident that he can help anyone lose a good amount of fat or build big peaky muscles if that’s what they're after. For me, however, I find my program’s focus on some functional moves, in addition to classic weight training, has been extremely valuable for my own goals. I never feel like I’m stagnating! I think it is also important to mention that Vinnie is super down-to-earth, supportive, and not intimidating or judgmental, so don't let his Viking-like appearance intimidate you! =) He is very warm; his light-hearted and optimistic demeanor makes it easy to do things you suck at (pushups, for me!) without feeling embarrassed. No judgement – just encouragement. He’s also open-minded and smart, which makes conversation easy when you’re transitioning from exercise to exercise or resting between sets. I think that’s important if you’re going to be spending considerable time working closely with someone!

It’s always fun and always something new. He can modify any workout right on the spot to accommodate my bad knees. He is encouraging and professional, but can be silly too when a short break is needed or when you need a little distraction getting through planks.
