Introduction: I have over 20 years of experience in performing nationwide and beyond in every genre imaginable, from being a solo artist to leading a 15-piece band, playing smooth jazz to country, rock and easy listening, from intimate home concerts to 20,000-seat arenas, and from recording studios to national television shows. I specialize in one man shows where I perform on saxophone (smooth jazz), acoustic guitar (solo, finger style) and vocals. I have been the feature musician at the historic Mission Inn Hotel in Riverside for the past 5 years.
I also have a huge network of professional musicians whom I can draw on to fill any need you can think of.
Getting to travel and make a living performing music is one of the greatest thrills imaginable.
I get up every day and look forward to the next job, the next challenge, the next song I learn, and the next show that I get to perform.

I must say that we had our best company Christmas party yet. I feel like the difference maker was having to skip perform at the party. This man personifies everything that is great about being an entertainer. Skip Was extremely professional. This man really loves what he does And for that we are consumer are the real winners. What an amazing evening with Skip, I hope to Have him at our next event, in the very near future.

Skip was hired for our 60th Anniversary luncheon. He was on time, very personable and eager to please. His music was great. We left a lot of the music selection up to him and it was "right on". He played the saxophone, guitar and sang. His music level was perfect. I would highly recommend Skip for your next event.

I used Skip for my wedding reception. It was kind of a last minute request (2) days before the event and Skip responded right away and came through. Everyone loved him, and his interaction with the audience.

We had Skip Johnson and his band, The Zippers, perform at our daughters wedding and reception last weekend. Skip played acoustic guitar at the ceremony and the band played at the reception. They are all great musicians and performers and definitely know how to keep a party going!! We had so many compliments from the guests and everyone loved their music and personal interaction with the crowd. Having the right band is a huge part in making a party a success and Skip Johnson and The Zippers nailed it!

Skip Johnson is an awesome musician. He has entertained at our annual Jazz event for 4 years. Each year has impressed our guests with his ability to be a one man show. We work with a small budget but Skip gives us quality jazz. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for a professional musician that is well versed!!!
