I needed someone to help me figure out what to do to stop my rising tax debt in recent years. It was becoming too much. Mr. Mahajan studied my tax filings and suggested several steps I could take to manage my taxes so that I wouldn’t continue being in the rears with IRS. He not only made suggestions, he submitted changes to IRS, set up an LLC for tax shelter, explained how to use these interventions to reduce my tax exposure, and checked with me periodically to see how I was doing following up on the plan. Mr. Mahajan was patient in helping me understand how I got into the situation and how to get out of the situation, thorough in looking at big and small things to do that will help, calm and pleasant in our discussions, and very professional in his demeanor. I give Mr. Mahajan a 5 star rating.

Not happy with his service, hide fees

Marvin, though we would have liked for us to work together but it’s fine. Wish you very best, with no hard feelings. But, just to present facts for our potential clients who may read this review, the invoice for $450, that you initially said is high for you, but paid and which was fully refunded, had clearly mentioned that it was for tax return preparation only. The payment was refunded despite you signed an Engagement Letter, since we don’t want what’s not earned by us. Unfortunately your assumption that it covered the fee for preparing and filing five 1099-Misc can probably be a misunderstanding but not that I hide and charged you something. Our firm’s mantra is that we like to work with customers who are happy working with us and trust us and that’s why we gave you the option to take full refund, which you opted for. Our focus is not to earn what’s not due to us, and in fact, just so you and potential clients know, it costed our firm $45 and close to 1 hour of billable time in middle of tax season to make sure that you get your money back and find someone who is a better fit for you. Again, we wish you very best !

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The accounting needs can vary from client to client. In most cases, we are able to give an estimated quote for tax return preparation after looking at prior year tax return and current year documents and for accounting services, we decide pricing after understanding the requirement. Give us a chance to work out the best possible solution for you and your business. We will make sure that we fit in your monthly budget !! We offer 3-month installment option at zero percent interest for payments above $750.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We usually ask clients to fill up a questionnaire that asks primarily about personal information and we also ask for a copy of a valid drivers license for identification purposes and copy of last filed tax return in case of income tax return preparation clients. First meeting (30 minutes) is free for new customers.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Public Accountant and have a Masters Degree in Business Administration. To offer bookkeeping services, I am a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor. We are ready for you. Come along !!
