About this pro
The crew was very nice and efficient. My move was completed in less than 2 hrs! I will definitely hire them again.Aug 15, 2018Verified
Not a single broken or scratched item. Extremely nice team also. God I changed and went with first choice. The first company said one truck and 3 guys. I overloaded 2 trucks. Bruce knows his stuff. Thanks guys.Jan 5, 2017Verified
Worst move EVER! I moved from a 1 bedroom apartment to another 1 bedroom apartment all within 3 miles and it took these guys 6 full hours to complete a simple job. Completely unprofessional from start to finish. It’s like I hired one man instead of two. The older gentleman was hard at work, never stopped working while the other guy was standing around. I had to constantly tell the younger guy to be careful. I have a solid wood bed with brass fixings- he knocked one side against the wall. I was so displeased with the carelessness and mishandling of my things. They did not bring the requested tools to break down my bed, and I was assured by the owner that it would be done. I had to go to Walmart twice to purchase tools as they were ill equipped. I figured they’d at least move everything else while I was away at the store. They didn’t. They did not have shrink wrap. They used my roll of tape to keep drawers closed as they moved my furniture. I was not happy about that. And my couch and love seat have dust on them from being scraped against walls. The crew used one of my Ralph Lauren lamps as a door wedge. I had to constantly supervise because they were tearing up my things. I requested they put items in the room they are assigned to while moving me in. They didn’t do it, even as I’m saying leave it in the kitchen, they put it somewhere else, which created more work for me. After they broke one of my lamps, they tracked Fragments of Glass throughout my apartment that I’m still finding and cleaning up a week later. Although the move took 6 hours, The owner charged me for 2 hours and trip fee, but made no efforts to cover the cost of all of my damages made by his crew. I only posted a few pictures of the damages.Aug 7, 2018VerifiedBruce W.'s reply
Steph, First and Foremost I want to apologize for the experience you had with this team. This is not at all indicative of the level of service we strive to provide our customers. I would like to thank you for taking the time to share your honest review about your experience and would like to reach out to you to discuss further options to resolve this situation. At this time I would like to inform you that the employee in question is no longer employed with us as a direct result of your moving experience. We take our customer service and the experience very serious here at 1st Choice Movers and this type of customer service is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by anyone on my team. As you mentioned in your review we only charged you for the minimum 2 hours of service and gave you credit for the other 4 hrs. we came to this agreement together over the phone and at the time I was under the impression you believed it to be a fair resolution. I am so sorry that I misunderstood you and that further discussions needed to take place concerning the damaged items. Please reach out to me so that we may come to an agreement and resolve this situation. Again I want to sincerely apologize for the experience you had with 1st Choice Moving and hope that you will give us the opportunity to make this right Bruce Wayne Owner/Operator
After another company canceled last minute for my move I had to find someone who could move me the same day. 1st Choice Moving came to the rescue. They were able to fit my request in for the same day. The guys were very professional and fast. They made sure all my furniture were wrapped properly to avoid any damages. I can’t thank the team enough and would highly recommend them.Aug 9, 2018Verified
