I hired Erika to introduce Spanish to my 4 year old. She can be quite "energetic" and it's hard for her to focus. Erika did a wonderful job accommodating her. She made learning fun through games, music, videos, and even props.

Erika is an excellent Spanish tutor. She teaches through reading, watching videos, and speaking. Her lessons have a historical and cultural component, in addition to conversational Spanish and colloquialisms. Our hour lessons fly by, and sometimes we lose track of time and keep chatting after the lesson is over. She is always engaged, interested and passionate about the material, and able to answer any questions. I never feel uncomfortable or nervous when speaking to Erika in Spanish. I highly recommend Erika for Spanish tutoring!

Punctual. Professional energetic. We have not yet found the appropriate level of study for me- not too easy and not too challenging. I am adult learner with several years of Spanish language study and that is why I believe it is challenging to find the right balance. But Ms. Gonzalez seems very capable and I a hopeful we will find a happy, productive equilibrium.

As of June 20, 2016, I have had 3 lessons with Erika. All three have been different and challenging (but in a good way). What I really like about my experience with Erika is the interaction. She incorporates many different learning styles! She also is very accommodating, in which we meet at locations that are inconvenient for me. She is punctual and comes prepared. I have learned so much and I feel more confident in just 3 weeks. I feel more confident and I love how we incorporated spanish as much as possible. Even through our communication via text! Overall, very pleased with my experience.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Spanish K-12 Illinois certification. TPR, full immersion, story telling.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I teach students to read, write, speak with proper pronunciation. Also, clients learn about customers and culture of different Hispanic countries.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
When people learn a new language is not only about reading and writing, it is about learning culture, expressions, customs etc. I generally make students have unforgettable experiences to make an important connection into the Spanish world.
