FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
1) Pricing is determined by the individuality of the class offered. (Ie: First Aid is priced differently from First Aid/CPR, or CPR versus CPR/AED). 2) The American Red Cross determines the fees for the approved courses. 3) Nights and/or weekends accrue an additional fee. Travel accrues an additional fee, as supplies and materials must be transported to specified location).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly networking with my peers. and attending Continuing Education Classes ( CEC ) to remain knowledgeable in my chosen profession. As an American Red Cross Instructor, I am consistently reviewing my Instructor videos and materials, and registering for enhancing classes. As an APOM Home Health Instructor, I'm constantly reviewing State Licensure and Rules/Regulations, and updating course material and Policies accordingly. As a Home Health Consultant, I incorporate all of my advanced knowledge and skills into assisting "Contracted" Agencies into becoming and maintaining State compliance.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a combined twenty (25) plus years experience as a Nurse in almost every capacity, including an Entrepreneur of a Home Health Agency, a Q.A. Nurse, Skilled Nursing and Home Health Consultant, a CNA Instructor, and an Expert Witness for Home Health Agency. I was an Agency Owner, and friends/acquaintances with numerous Agency Owners/Administrators that lived/live in "FEAR" of the State. Eventually, I was able to oversee a "Truly Deficiency FREE" Agency for two (2) plus years, prior to my scheduled exit from that Agency. I have discovered that if things are done correctly and according to rules and regulations, and if a person/student learns and/or does things the correct way, You can't go wrong, & YOU can Truly have "A Peace of Mind".
