FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing system is based upon material costs and hours required to complete. We bill materials at cost without markup. Labor costs per hour vary based on market value of the skills required. We have enough experience to accurately estimate hours to complete, and generally provie estimates as a not to exceed. By pricing as not to exceed we are able to provide a max cost estimate, that we are often able to invoice below. We never want to put ourselves in a position where we invoice higher than our estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To provide truly accurate estimates to our customers, it is best to meet the customer onsite to view the work area, take any necessary measurements, and speak with the customer to learn exactly what the customer wants. After the onsite inspection and discussion I give a written estimate outlining details about the project and define a scope of work. All of this is at no cost to the customer, and come with no pressure or obligation to buy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training consists of real hands on training as far back as I can remember. I am a third generation carpenter and have been working with my Grandfather, father, and uncle since I was a child. I am now teaching this to my children. Although I have been in this industry my entire life I am still learning from my father who still works with me. We also attend trade shows and product workshops to stay up to date on the latest techniques and technologies.
