FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For the most part, the general standard for my pricing is $1 per minute.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If someone it's interested in private lessons or a position in one of my classes, I send them my studio policy including rates, availability, policy procedures, and a contract agreement. When they sign the policy and send it back to me, I can then schedule the student and prepare the lesson. The tuition for each month is paid the first lesson of the month for the entire month. Depending on which curriculum they chose, they may be responsible for purchasing a lesson book and bringing it to the first lesson. If for any reason, the private student would like to discontinue lessons, they must notify me two weeks before their intended last lesson would be (preferably having last lesson during the last week of the month so I can replace the student in the schedule for the beginning of the next month).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have received two music degrees: Bachelor of Music in Performance Voice and Master of Music in Performance Voice. I also have an incomplete degree of Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. I am a professional opera singer, soloist, and musical theatre performer. I am currently pursuing a single subject k-12 music teaching credential.
