- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $80 hour/min one hour for residential. There is a minimum of 1.5 hours if I have to drive more than 18 miles.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ask the client what their computer is doing or not doing that is giving them problems. Based on that I can get a sense of what might be the root cause of the problem and give the client a general time estimate for how long it will take to resolve their issues. Then after setting an appointment I diagnose the issue and work to resolve it. After the computer problem has been resolved I configure the computer in the way the client wants. Then I test the computer by rebooting it three times. Finally before I go I ask if the client has any further issues or questions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been fixing computers since 1999. I began working for a company called Stream doing tech support calls for the Gateway computer corporation. After Stream I went to work for International Paper in their tech support department. After working there I went to work for Best Buy. I left Best Buy in 2001 and started Bensman Home Computer Repair. Since 2001 I have repaired computers all over the Memphis area and it is this experience that makes me a superior technician.
