Introduction: As you may probably notice even from our Initial conversation about your project, I truly care about your concerns and serving you as best I can.
My attention to detail and completing tasks with a noticeably higher level of expertise and craftsmanship, then what is often excepted in this business as ‘good enough’, is what separates me from what has become the norm. Through my over 50 years in the building business I have witnessed a decline in pride and workmanship in the construction trades. The newer generation coming up in the trades, I find, is generally formally untrained and tend to learn by trial and error. Who knows where you’ll fall in on that learning curve, or if they even distinguish between right, wrong, or close enough.
I am 66 years old and semi retired, but have way too much energy to sit around, so I am available to those of you who appreciate experience and integrity and care to get the job done right the first time. I also maintain my full South Carolina residential builders license (#10824) for those of you who have projects that require those credentials.
Compromise elsewhere. I am not the one to call if you just want something patched together for the cheapest price. There is just no way that cheapest can be best in this business. It just defies logic. We are regularly challenged by the many inferior imported products that we are forced to deal with in this day and age to be cutting corners everywhere. It is likely that if your home was built in the last 20 years you have probably seen the result of fast and cheap. I run into the resulting challenges all the time in renovations and repairs. Houses that were not built level and square become very difficult to deal with, for example when doing tile work and installing frameless shower door units. In these all too common cases, I do the best I can because I can attempt to alter but I cannot change existing conditions. Getting the end result from somebody who cares more about The finished product than they do the money, makes a huge difference. I have always believed that if you do your work right the money will come.
My hope would be that this makes sense to you and that I will hear from you, so we can complete your project in line with this concern for the desired end result: The feeling of accomplishment from a job well done.
